
Driven by her passion for art, film & design, Anita Pico directed her first short film "Camille" at twenty-two years old, winning the Audience Award at Durham Film Festival. Born in the north of Spain, she graduated with a Summa Culm Laude Degree at Saginaw Valley State University, where she explored her art in different fields, including theatre, design, or photography.
Her short "Blacks or Whites", graduation film from the University for the Creative Arts, premiered at the British Film Institute in London in 2019, screening in festivals in Madrid, London, Moscow, and more.
In 2020, Pico is selected as part of the "New Creatives" program by BBC Arts and Arts Council, shooting her project "What a Circus", which premiered on BBC 4 and BBC iPlayer in 2020, currently in festivals.

Despite her youth, Pico has participated in programs such as Screenskills Mentoring of the British Film Industry, the Widening the Lens Program of BAFTA Encounters Film Fest, or BBC New Creatives from BBC ARTS.
In 2021, Pico is selected by the TV production company BANIJAY for its "Creators Incubator" talent residency, along with 15 other international talents in Cannes (France). She is also chosen as a finalist of the Cíes Island Residency, shooting her new short LIQUE, set to premiere in 2022.
Pico currently works in Spanish TV productions as a scriptwriter while directing her creative studio with Ro López, Henfunk Studio, where they develop advertisements and fiction.
